It all began with a quest to find new innovative ways to foster meaningful conversations and deeper connections.
While I was aware of traditional conversation tools, I wanted to create a conversation starter that was simple, fun, and seamlessly built into a natural conversation piece - what we wear on our tees.
That's where the story of my unique t-shirts begins.
I asked myself,
What if the words on my t-shirts were more than just designs?
What if they were questions or statements that reflected our values and our curiosity about others?
What if we could wear our hearts,
not on our sleeves, but on our 'heartspace’?

The idea took shape...
These tee are designed to initiate meaningful conversations about topics that truly matter, turning your everyday outfit into a powerful statement, inspiring meaningful discussions about values such as kindness, gratitude, love, curiosity, and peace.
As my journey unfolded, I explored the impact of questions on clothing.
This exploration led to a remarkable project—a social experiment in collaboration with Emiliya Zhivotovskaya at The Flourishing Center during her 2023 retreat at the Omega Institute. We invited 30 individuals to create three questions or statements they'd proudly wear on their chests to create meaningful connection. They tested these phrases with unfamiliar people, accompanied by pre and post-test measuring the levels of connection, trust and altruism. For instance, they explored questions like
'What makes you feel loved?' and
'How can you give yourself grace today?'
Participants then selected the most effective question or statement for creating meaningful conversation. The dedicated staff at The Flourishing Center brought these chosen words to life on their tees. I have chosen three of these questions and transformed them into unique designs available in my shop for you to enjoy.
A key insight from this social experiment is that simply asking people to come up with a question or statement they would wear on their t-shirt prompts them to deeply contemplate the values they want to proudly display. The subsequent testing process ignites meaningful conversations that unfold quickly. As the facilitator, it was a challenge to bring these conversations to an end!
Now, you can experience this transformative activity in your own groups. Simply ask people to write down what question they would want on their “heartspace”, and then give them time to explore it with different individuals! You can also take it a step further and cut out iron-on letters to make the questions and iron them onto tees.
Through creative collaboration I have curated an incredible collection of tees that represent more than just garments; they represent a message, a conversation, and a movement.

But my journey doesn't stop here. I'm deeply committed to spreading the influence of these engaging tees to broader audiences – whether it's through offsite gatherings, transformative retreats, or other imaginative initiatives.
My mission is to integrate meaningful conversations into the fabric of everyday life. At Heartspace Rising, we're not merely about tees; we're a movement dedicated to harnessing the power of conversation.
Our tees serve as the catalysts that ignite this profound transformation.
